WELCOME
“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen..” Hebrews 11:1
Thank you so much for subscribing to our newsletter! Whether you found us on Instagram, or met us at a craft fair, or maybe we’ve been longtime friends, we want to thank each of you for your love and support this year. Although 2023 is quickly coming to an end, the Whispers Doodles journey has just begun. Since this is our FIRST newsletter, we wanted to introduce ourselves, share about Whispers Doodles, and let you know what to expect.
About Us
Whispers Doodles is a small business run by two friends, Kelly and Megan. We are based on the island of O’ahu, Hawaii.
God led Kelly to start Whispers in 2015, after she started doodling verses in college. The name Whispers comes from I Kings 19:11-13, where God spoke to Elijah not in the great wind, earthquake, or fire, but in a whisper. We were founded on the hope that God would whisper through His Word and the doodles to whoever they came across. Kelly took a break from Whispers from 2016-2023 to begin her job as a full-time elementary school teacher. In 2022, God prompted Kelly through many signs and answered prayers to leave teaching without a clear direction for what to do next. In August 2023, she heard a message from Pastor Wade Inn at Pearlside Kapolei and another prayer was answered. He preached on I Kings 19, and the restart of Whispers began.
This time, a long-time friend and sister-in-Christ joined the team. As a partner, Megan creates content for the Whispers.Doodles Instagram page, as well as plans, coordinates, and hand-makes many of our products. With a background in business, and a heart to serve with Christ at the center, Megan holds so many titles on the Whispers Doodles team, we’re not sure what to call her, but a partner.
You may see our husbands, siblings, and parents helping us at events. We could not do it without them! You may even have met our logo inspiration, Daisy, at the pet-friendly events.
2023 Event Recap
Since starting in August, we’ve ran through September, October, November, and December with so many highlights to be grateful for. We were able to participate in 3 in-person events, including the Hanalani Winter Craft Fair, the Villages of Kapolei Association Winter Craft Fair and Swap Meet, as well as the Ho’opili Christmas Market. It was a privilege to meet so many new people, reconnect with old friends, and be so loved and supported by our friends and family. We cover you all in prayer believing that God’s promises reign true and His presence will be clear as day in your lives.

We are excited to bring new ideas to life in 2024. Although the unknown of starting this business has brought many moments of fear and insecurity, we will be stepping into the new year with faith and hope for where God will take us…“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”.
Future Content
This may not be the type of newsletter you would normally receive, and we hope that through it you receive more from God than we could ever expect. We hope to share the exciting way God is working through this adventure, as well as keep you updated on upcoming events and products. We pray God takes the Whispers Doodles products to wherever He leads and whispers through them! Our designs are inspired by scripture and the daily blessings we see in the world, including our beautiful home! We hope to share a little more about our designs in time. Some of them are really funny.
We pray your 2024 starts with joy and peace amidst the craziness of life! Special thanks to our husbands, families, and church family for supporting us before it even began. Until the next letter, Happy New Year!
Love, Kelly & Megan
